The point of the possession arrow is to not give super athletic teams an advantage over the jump ball during tie ups.

Bad call because your supposed to give the ballhandler a chance to regain possession.

college refs have been shytty in every conference all season...final jumpball was a bad call (called too early), but it did not decide the game...WS poor clock mgmt/ball handling and halfcourt offense lost it for them...i think i'll start my kevin ware drinking game early tonite before monday.

so they couldnt have tied the game up with their last possession if a "jump ball" wasnt called a millisecond after dude touched the ground??

yes...it cost them the chance to win/ keep the game going..

how is the posession arrow determined at the start of games?? why cant they just jump ball it?

They jump the ball in the beginning on the game. whoever doesn't get the ball then, gets the possession arrow. Did they stop teaching basketball in gym class??

shame it had to come down to that call, at the same time it was no guarantees it is what it is....and it wasn't like the calls where one sided, wsu was in the bonus the first 5minutes into the half...on top of that they had 13 point lead
