:camby: Stay out this thread.

And Griffin's vertical increased during the year he missed.

he was still a beast his final year at Oklahoma. Every night on sportscenter was a Blake Griffin dunk show.

and forget about Blake. lets talk Wade. one of the best athletes and finishers above the rim for most of his career. Him and Exum are pretty much identical in terms of vert with Exum having a slight advantage if you take into account his superior standing reach.

Exum might not be a Wade-esque finisher because he doesn't have the ability to palm the ball the way Wade can, but he shouldn't be considered a LESSER athlete because his pure vertical is just in line with a guy we all called a great athlete back in the day.

Wade and Griffin were/are insane leapers. It's left TBD whether Exum will be able to do the same. He might.

you guys just don't understand how big a difference the ability to palm the ball makes. Wade is a good leaper. You think its insane because he has those giants mitts as hands and can maneuver the ball easily over other players when jumping. his pure vert is the same as Exum. good but not great.

I just don't think you should act like Exum's vert is dissapointing when Wade's is basically the same and no one ever questions his athleticism.

I would too, especially since he was being labeled a PG before the measurements came out - 6'5.75", he's got legitimate SG height combined with that athleticism. His biggest strength from a skill point right now is shooting ability, If I'm the Sixers and I get Embiid or Wiggins I take him with that 2nd pick. May as well swing for the fences :yeshrug:

If the Lakers don't move up into the top 3, I think they take him at 6 or 7. Its a Mitch/Jimmy type move. Last time they were this high in the lottery, they went for a high risk/big reward move when they drafted a high schooler named Andrew Bynum over a Danny Granger. I think outside of Wiggins, Embiid, Exum, and Parker, LaVine has the most potential. Lakers will take him at 6 or 7.

Hopefully he can come in without high expectations, i still think the lakers get in the top 3
