Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Show me where it is a strength because Draftexpress' scouting breakdown basically said he had subpar vision and all of his available footage shows limited vision.

:wtf:

Strengths:
-Terrific size for a point guard at 6-4
-Nice wingspan. Good frame
-Extremely smooth, fluid athlete with unbelievable body control
-Great first step
-Tremendous creativity with the ball in his hands
-Gets extremely low to ground on drives. Terrific ball-handler. Changes speeds. Super long strides make him tough to stay in front of. Rangy drives. Gets to basket off one dribble
-Puts huge pressure on the defense. Draws tons of fouls
-Superb in transition
-Finishes elegantly around the basket, sometimes from far outside the paint. Uses reverse moves effectively
-Can finish above the rim
-Creates effectively for others. Unselfish player
-Excellent feel for the game. Everything comes incredibly easy
-Solid rebounder for position
An adapt passer with speed to burn in the open floor

That is all on his Draftexpress page....
Barbosa is listed at 6'3

But keep saying he's 6'2 like that changes anything.

And for the record, Exum is taller than Barbosa but Barbosa on tape has a better first step than Dante. Exum appears to have a good first step but Barbosa is elite in that category and is quicker as well.

The more I watch, the more I don't like Exum. We know he can't explode over people, and now I'm doubting if he can create space off the bounce in the half court at a star level.

:dead:

On tape Barbosa has a better first step? What footage are you watching, there's like 1 full game of his that exists :russ: You're speaking like you've watched him play a full season or something, nobody knows a lot about this kid other than the fact he's pretty quick and he's tall for a PG.

Oh word, the more you watch you don't like? Point out what you're watching, show me where you're getting this wealth of knowledge from that you and you only possess. Barbosa was nearly a 40% 3 point shooter in his rookie year, do you also expect that from Exum, since they are soooooo alike.

I think I will go with the video report with multiple minutes of his lack of vision.

One of the things they highlight in that very same video is the Extra pass from him. Nobody is saying the dude is Steve Nash with vision, but his passing ability will probably be better than Barbosa, who was awful.

Here's how you know it's a lazy comparison based on how they look first and foremost, you could have just said he's like Tony Parker, somebody who was a shot first PG that relied on speed and quickess and couldn't shoot in his early years. Barbosa was an above average 3 point shooter right out of the gate, something Exum will not be.

He came in at 21 :rudy:

So, we can only use that scouting video to assess weaknesses, but not point out strengths? :lupe:

He's going to struggle next year, I really have no doubt about that, but he'll be better than Barbosa ever was in a short time.

If he has multiple seasons as good as 06-07 Barbosa, I'd be surprised :mjlol:

What are you actually saying? Matter of fact, scratch that. You are the master of talking without really saying anything. You are the epitome of a Mr. Imaginary Contrarian.

Again, like Poitier (he's killing you in this thread) said, you hype this guy's strengths based on online websites yet you want to cloud the conversation when someone points to Exum's weaknesses using the very same website you use to talk about the things he does well.

Hmmm... where they do that at? :ohhh:

I use to use draftexpress as a source.... until I actually started going back and watching full games myself

They start to make up tiny useless positives for players when they run out of things to talk about.

I admit Exum has potential, but dude got huge after dropping 16 playing mainly off ball against the Harrison twins in the hoop summit. The Harrison twins, who are probably one of the worst defenders in basketball. Smart guarded Exum a few times in their match up in the FIBA U19 and caused havoc. Exum dominated FIBA u19 statiscally being the primary option for his team. Thats nice, but not many people know Tyler Ennis also played in the FIBA U19 for Canada and dominated that.

People talk about hs players that use to get drafted into the NBA as a example that Exum can make it as well. Look in the US NBA prospects/college recruits play like over 100 games in a year. US players have been scouted heavily since the end of their junior year at least. If Exum is subpar or is a bust, GM's won't ever draft a player with limited exposure again.

Exum is about to get paid for sitting out 6 months without playing an official game and not exposing his weaknesses. He might be the top international draft pick ever selected who didn't play professional basketball.
