Utah should just grab the best guard available or take Lavine at 5
:manny:

They're in a tough spot at 5 because they're pretty weak at SF and Wiggins/Parker will be off the board. I see numerous Mocks with them taking a big... I don't think they're going to give up on Kanter/Favors already though. I could be wrong...

there's a guy that should be an awesome fit for them that nobody's really talking about.

McDermott, especially after the combine he had
I was thinking Young and McDermott after reading your post. Wouldn't it be smart for them to trade down a few spots if that's who they are considering?

I haven't seen a mock draft with either of those guys higher than 9.

I thought I'd seen his name floating around out there at that pick, which is why I asked about Young. McDermott makes sense, especially since next year is Hayward's last (in theory). So you play them both on the wings? Or do you try to make Doug your 4.

Is there any way Philly doesn't have a great draft with where they're selecting?

You can do either. Hayward at SG with McDermott at SF, he can shift to the 4 in a quasi small ball lineup with Burks at SG. Positional flexibility, and he's arguably the best shooter in this draft. That helps everyone else have someone to kick the ball out to.

and @GoldenGlove, McDermott's stock will climb to where taking him at 5 isn't the biggest reach in the world. There may be better talents, but what's the closest thing to Jabari Parker in this draft? McDermott, just with a lesser ceiling, but still offers some of the things Jabari could do on the surface: shoot, score, play zero defense.

1 of these SGs better fall to 16, if it's Harris cool. Stauskas would be perfect though
