Because he's still learning and there's no telling how he'll mesh with their most recent picks. The team they're putting on the floor in the Summer League is actually their core, so they might as well get accustomed to playing with each other.

He had great efficency in college. Rated a five star prospect just off of numbers but his athletic ability was lacking greatly.
