college football needs to do like the NFL and have a marquee opening game that first thursday. right now the thursday matchups are aight but not super enticing.

imagine if Alabama and USC were opening the season on Thursday night? now thats matchup that would have everyone up for kickoff thursday.

People so thirsty that they'd watch a fukkin army-navy kickoff game.

Plus all the kids would be skipping classes and shyt

Going to see one of the Top 2016 DL Marlon Davidson play tonight. He's got Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Michigan in mind.

teams are ranked during the preseason based on perceived talent. talent is based either on what you did last year and/or RECRUITING. Since, SEC schools dominate recruiting, they are perceived year in year out to be more talented.

no conspiracy theory. this would be like you whining about why Kentucky basketball or Duke basketball are ranked high every year in preseason college basketball polls when they lose their entire team from last year to the NBA. its RECRUITING. Duke and Kentucky are always elite at recruiting, they're always gonna get the benefit of the doubt in the preseason rankings.

even when they end the previous season flaming out. see Kentucky not even making the NCAA tournament in 2012. yet being ranked #1 in the pre-season 2013 polls after they signed the Julius Randle recruting class.

UK & Duke are proven winners, some of the SEC teams aren't proven winners... im not whining, just hate who people be like "oh so n so team only play 2 ranked teams and [insert SEC team] plays 4 or 6 ranked teams this year..."
the whole conference gets hype off like 4 teams
