We'll find out soon enough if Mizzou is legit. Like I've said. I've watched them get DESTROYED the last 2 years by quality opponents (Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia). IMO Mizzou winning the East the last 2 years is similar to Baylor and TCU winning the Big 12 the last couple of years. I don't think either of those teams are elite. I think its more the result of the historical powers (Oklahoma/Texas and Tennessee/Florida) being down than Mizzou or Baylor/TCU being elite programs now.

Lets see what happens to Mizzou when Florida and Tennessee start playing football again. I gotta feeling they'll crawl right back into the hole they came from. Same with TCU and Baylor getting put in their place by Texas and Oklahoma.

You realize being "elite" is cyclical right? There's a difference between being an elite program and being an elite team. Oklahoma, Texas, Tenn, & Florida haven't been elite teams in years

Yeah man it's crazy how much they fell going from a perennial top 10 team in the 90's to a laughingstock

true. but the reason Oklahoma/Texas/Tennessee/Florida are considered elite programs is they have a history of being elite teams more often than not. all 4 are among the top 10-15 all-time in wins and winning %.

I have my opinion. You can have yours. I view TCU/Baylor/Missouri as opportunistic teams not elite teams. They've been able to win divisional/conference titles during times when the traditional powers are down. I'll give Mizzou/TCU/Baylor props when they win their conferences with the big boys being on their game.
