Only Grammy category that ever even has good nominees is the 'alternative album' award

Last year the 2 best albums released during the nomination window were both nominated. Tame Impala's 'Lonerism' and Vampire Weekend 'Modern Vampires...." (which won)

This year, the best album released during the nomination period is thankfully nomimated again, St. Vincent's self-titled release.

D'angelo would have cleaned the fukk up all the awards this year if he didnt release his album too late. He's gonna have a lot of big names to compete against next year though
