Yeah, it's becoming really widely speculated across the league that Embiid's "setback" ain't real, some insiders saying He's really 100% and ready for next season, also Tony Wroten posted on his Instragram that he talked with Embiid and Embiid told him he's 100% as well. :patrice:
@Malta your boy might not be a bust after all

How does having a shot blocker behind magically make someone a good perimeter defender?

@Full Measures you dumb. :coffee:

Not responding to any of that untl you level up your basketball knowledge and reading comprehension. Dell Curry is not worth name dropping. Ever. I never called Cal a bad coach. I discussed the quality of shots in a halfcourt offense on one of the best teams of all time versus a D-League where every player is forced to create their own looks. When you need Jalen Rose to co-sign your ideas, you lost. :yawn:

Does Justise happen to fall to us at 10 or do we find a way to move up. Do we get Stan the man at 10. Or does Riles just fukk it all up & trade away the pick. We shall see. :lupe: :francis:

As I went back through Ohio St game, i think Russell's passing skills are overhyped but his shooting/scoring ability is undervalued. He is kind of like the inverse of Steph in that regard. Where I remember I knew that Steph would have no prob being a PG in the NBA and people doubted his passing.
With Russell, i hear every analyst call him this great visionary passer like he is the next Cousy, magic, Stockton and Paul all in one. In reality he is an above average passer and has good vision but his decision making is still questionable. He missed some open shooters and is too much of a Ball stopper at times. He can def improve on those things, it's not like he doesn't see the open guys, he just has so much confidence in himself he thinks he can make an even Better play.
At the same time I don't think peoplr realize how good of a shooter he is, kind of like Harden in that regard. When Russell gets going he will pull up while going full speed off the dribble and drain it in a defenders face. Pretty much unstoppable and he can make them from anywhere, any spot around the arc + mid range. I think he prefers the right side of the court tho a bit.

So ya, i think he will prob lead all rookies in scoring next year but I doubt he is gonna be a triple double threat any time soon or even double double for now

Also Presidential Cam Payne is similar to Russell in a lot of ways. Actually should be able to run an offense right away better than Russ. He is a great shooter as well and played in a pro style offense. The thing with him is he doesn't have Russell's potential, he is a few inches shorter and people are worried about D'Angelo's strength but he had much less problem with contact. Payne seems to avoid it and takes too many floaters or pull ups. He is gonna need to add strength and physicality or teams will simply crowd his shot and dare him to get in the lane and finish like they've done with Trey Burke.

Last observation is I think Stanley Johnson at this point is somewhat a sleeper. He was clearly a top 5 prospect during most of the season. His supposed lack of shooting is blown out of proportion. Also his FG% numbers are lower because of Arizona's style of play and lack of spacing.
He needs to continue to work on mental and intangible things, particularly focus. He tended to get distracted and was caught ball watching more than Sean Miller liked but he seems like a solid guy with his head on straight and should be able to get past that as he matures.

Almoost done with my first round. I have no idea where to place Devin Booker now. I have him falling.

Teams wil bite on him who need shooting a team like the Bucks or Wizards...Hawk even. He shouldn't fall tommorow. I also think Portis may rise.

Bookmark this.....Emmanuel Mudiay will end up one of the top 3 Players in this draft....He's the type of dude who if he slips will end up playing with a chip on his shoulderss to prove the haters wrong....He will offer an instant mismatch on offense as he is bigger/stronger than most PGs....Some players benefit being in space....If the 76ers or Knicks pass on him and he falls to the Kings, Nuggets, Hornets he will be my darkhorse for ROY.
