So last year, while negotiating the trade for Love, the TImberwolves said: "ok, I'm sure you're gonna have a late pick, and we're gonna have a top 3 pick. In addition to Wiggins and everyone else, we want you to take a player for us with your 1st round pick, and we'll trade you our high 2nd round pick, as well as the high 2nd round pick that we got for Sacramento. Deal?"

It may not have been said in such detail...but Dan saying hey we'll look out in the upcoming draft could have been enough. Minn. went from a possible playoff contender with love to a no chance in hell club without him...that effects profits for minn. I bet the Cavs gave some assurances they'd assist Minnesota if they possibly could in this draft.
