Seeing Nick Marshall cover Sammie Coates last year was one of the most traumatic images of 2015 for me
Actually the opposite. Both rivals and espn had the least number of 5 stars they've had for a number of years.
Just last year ESPN had 21 5-stars. This year only 9. I'd say it's been more of a slim year in recruiting.
2014 and 2015 were arguably the 2 deepest classes for talent since 2008 when Julio Jones, AJ Green, and Patrick Peterson came out.

Breh. The insiders over on the Vols message boards are buzzing that we got Brown. He loves Tennessee. And that depth chart people thought might hurt us is actually helping. Apparently he loves the idea of staying fresh by splitting snaps with last years 5* DTs Shy Tuttle and Kahlil McKenzie.

(1) 5* DE Jonathan Kongbo (#1 rated JUCO prospect)
(2) 5* DT Derrick Brown (top 10 player nationally)
(3) 4* DB Nigel Warrior (top 100 player nationally)

How did we underachieve this year?
(1) At SEC media days, we were picked by the media to finish 2nd in the SEC East to Georgia. We ended up finishing 2nd in the SEC East to Florida.
(2) We ranked #25 in the preseason AP and Coaches Poll. We finished #22 and #23 respectively in the final AP and Coaches Poll.
(3) Vegas put the over/under on regular season wins for us last year at 7.5 wins. We finished with 8 regular season wins.
By every objective measure, the 2015 Vols met or exceeded expectations. Now they may not have met my outlandish expectations (though they came damn close), they did however meet the media and Vegas expectations.
