Didn't realize i was a USC fan til 05 tho

Damn I been watching ever since I was about 4 my dad used to have softball tournaments on the weekends so sometimes he would have me keep up with some of the games on Saturday mornings. I think the one game I officially fell in love with CFB was when FSU played Michigan in 1991 FSU beat the shyt out of them nikkas like 51-31 at Michigan it was 1 vs 3. I remember crying after Wide Right 1 and 2. I always hated Notre Dame back then I actually didn't even hate Miami until I got older them FSU and Ohio St were my favorite teams to watch but whenever FSU and Miami played I always rooted for the Noles. I think I got tired of rooting for Miami when I turned 9 I think it was the year that pussball Kanell stunk out the OB that's when Miami had Ray Lewis,Warren Sapp and The Rock.

shyt them nikkas didn't even win their division, the SEC got that extra hype boost because A&M blew USCe out the 1st game to begin the over hyping of the Mississippi teams. We won every regular season game coming off of a Natty win. That shyt ain't a joke. We got our asses kicked by the Ducks in the 1st round, but that ain't a facade.

I think MSU got a rocket strapped to them the way they bulldozed up the polls was something I haven't seen in ages. They beat Southern Piss,UAB (BY 13) and South Alabama before winning at LSU by 5. They beat LSU and went from unranked all the way up to 12 then they beat up on another overrated team in Texas A&M the following week and shoot up 9 more spots I've never seen anything like it especially for bum ass school like Piss St Notre Dame never got rockets strapped like that in recent decade. I think that's what @goatnole is talking about and I agree their rankings were bullshyt straight SEC plants (had to use that term in CFB thread)

We know the #SECSPN rankings are some BS but at the time they had beaten #8 LSU in Death Valley, #6 TAMU, and #2 Auburn fresh off a national title game.

There was no one with a better resume than that at the time. They deserved that #1

I can't really remember off top it was just weird to see how voters began moving the goalpost. Oklahoma in 2000 had a way more impressive 3 game stretch (63-14 over top 12 Texas, 41-31 AT #2 KSU and 31-14 vs #1 Nebraska) and they were still barely moving up in polls weekly.

The expectations were super high and FSU just wasn't living up to them. You said you were betting? Imagine caking off all the early bird lines I remember before the season FSU was 3 TD favorites over ND,Miami and Florida alone someone got rich fading FSU that year betting. We still had a good year and the only "scrub" I would say FSU barely beat was BC. Miami and Florida are rivalry games all bets are off in those type of games. Oklahoma St was pretty good until their QB got hurt and ND just got hit with bunch of injuries after playing FSU. shyt we beat a 10 win Clemson team without Winston FSU had some nice wins that year just wasn't on par with the 13 team but lets be real that 13 team one of the 5 best past 25 years Pound 4 Pound.

Yeah I never heard nothing about game control until they started using it against FSU that year some WTF stat. Lord knows the 2002 Buckeyes would've never seen the time of day if game control was a metric back then. Only teams that get a pass for winning close games are SEC schools they have a ten commandments of excuses already prepared the moment a game is barely won or lost outright. Hopefully each passing year the playing field gets leveled it will only make CFB better.

Yeah I got them 20/1 NC odds too before the season started I just knew something was special about that squad as soon as they named Jameis the starter. We needed a change in defensive scheme to take us to the next level that bend don't break Stoops scheme wasn't gonna win when it mattered most. I'm feeling the same way about the 2016 FSU squad but I gotta see how this QB situation shakes out.
