And? It doesn't affect OSU as much as UM or PSU. For various reasons, Franklin and Harbaugh feel the need to rebuild their respective reputations in the South. Banning satellite camps makes that effort more difficult. Harbaugh at least is willing to hire HS coaches and player mom/dads to land recruits. OSU is seen as a solid program down south because they win consistently and put tons of guys in the league. I'm not saying they didn't benefit from a solitary camp each year, but the ban will affect them less.

I don't give a shyt what this says about the NCAA/SEC relationship...I see it as a positive because it seemingly helps my team in their quest to win the conference. That the path is made easier due to weakening opponents means nothing to me.

He did 1 last year. Why not take advantage of the system. He always said it wasn't his thing though :yeshrug:

Lets just keep it all the way 100 here

harbaugh and franklin will be fine, harbaugh in particular. he wil just invent 15 new loopholes to target

But I would say non-power five coaches are against this. Now western michigan kids can't go to ohio state's camp and offer the kids not good enough to be buckeyes. Now coaches from bowling green can't go to Duke's football camp and offer the next tier of kids.

Now MAC Coaches can't get together and issue offers to guys they would not have been aware of elsewhere. Even enbraska took a kid in their last class they discovered from a satellite camp.

this camp screws over a ton of HS kids who don't have the money to travel around the country. With satellite camps, the coaches could come to THEM.

But because a few SEC coaches leaned on Mark Emmert, this new rule was passed.

its BS

Let's be real though, he already has his roots in the South from his time at Florida. That's what Harbaugh was trying to build. Franklin already had a few too.

I'm not mad at the ban, because all hell was about to break loose through the SEC over this camp thing. Mississippi schools in Bama, Georgia, and Florida every year. Missouri same thing......... Bama in Georgia, Florida........Tennessee in Florida, Georgia.......Not to mention going into big states up North and out West. The possibilities of rule violations was big.

Spring fandom is starting to take over in regards to Oregon hiring Hoke. Really intrigued to see Oregon's D this year. Switching from a 2 gapping 3-4 to a 4-3 is going to be interesting. D players seem to be hyped about it. :ehh:
