Early season results rarely correspond to late season form. Remember Florida also struggled with Florida Atlantic in November but blew out Ole Miss in September.

Breh I couldn't believe how confident TCU fans on social media & forums were back in December that they'd be able keep Cumbie from leaving to be the OC at Texas. I just assumed they were naive fans that didn't know how College Football worked.
I think that had more to do with Cumbie and his wife not wanting to move again, than pay. I think we got the right guy though. I hate the air raid type offenses. TCU's fans are still a bit naive, but I think our fanbase is naive about what UT will spend though. I always say that UT is a big rich school that enjoys football. Not a football school. TCU and Baylor are historically bad enough, with enough money to want to be good. UT has so many conflicting priorities and heads with agendas that winning and spending big on it is way down the list. Too many legacies on the line with the med school right now. Perhaps Charlie can renew that interest again.
