first of all, almost all those games were pretty much on REGULAR television. ie abc, cbs, nbc.
The cfb playoff and title game are on cable. College football is more popular than ever so I wouldnt go by those numbers.

Back during that time you're talking around 60 million in both those states combined.......Today it's over 66 million living in those 2 states combined. Yeah there were people watching around the country because of Vince and Reggie and Leinhart......but I guarantee most of the viewers came from those 2 states.

The highest games were all on network. With the move to ESPN, the fact that they offer coverage on multiple platforms and the number of people leaving "cable" tv.
They already breaking the Top 10 though with 28.I think theres a good chance someone could reach 30.Maybe not 35.

He's at training camp.....and he comes through at times during the season the last couple of years. He was around more because he was finishing his degree during the offseason the last couple of years. He's probably around more than we realize but people just don't talk about it much now, like Bo Jackson......That dude's around all of the time. People have to live their life after college. He's just getting started.
No problems with him cheering on Deshaun though, they're both Georgia boys.......They do it on the
