NBADraft.net has De'Aaron Fox at number three overall, DraftExpress has bumped him to number five overall :ld:

Fox has been top five on the DX mocks for at the least three weeks or so.

Sixers should leave Lowry alone unless it's for a two or three year deal. Adding him wont make them a contender and by time they are ready to win he will be past it anyway. Save that money and get someone closer to the young cats ages.
Sometimes you might need a vet to accelerate the process, especially a good one

Masai is gon max him anyway so it's a moot point. High key Philly should throw 2 year maxes at Justin Holiday and Patty Mills. Biid is the only player due for an extension, so going after a good shooting pg and a 3&d wing isn't bad.

4 years doesn't hurt the Sixers in the least bit, getting him wouldn't be about making them a contender, it would be a move to make the playoffs which they haven't done in 5 years. This is a young team that has multiple avenues to improve, and still has a potential lottery pick coming to them in 2 years regardless of what happens.

If Simmons and Embid are healthy next season along with whoever they pick in the draft they are more than likely going to the playoffs anyway. So at most Lowry is the difference between a first and second round appearance. Not worth the max to me.

1. That's a big if
2. Don't bank on that.

Too many times we look at super young talent on paper and assume everyone gets better at the same time and has a meteoric rise as a team.

A rookie is supposed to lead them to the playoffs? They are a young team, getting Lowry guarantees that they make the playoffs while the players develop. There is no guarantee they make the playoffs when their rotation of players averages 23 years old, Covington would be the oldest starter at 26 and even he has never been to the playoffs.
