Also Colangelo is a big time Jimmy fan, so I think he would pay a high price for him

I think it has a good chance of happening. I know Colangelo would do it but you'd know this better then me is the Bulls front office gonna want to blow it up?

Sounded like in the exit interviews they wanted to bring back the same team next year lol

im all in on the Bulls blowing it up at the draft(dont undersell though just to do it), love Jimmy but need to be real about the situation

im guessing the Celtics stay the course though, they are in such a great position regardless how they proceed

would Philly or Phoenix make a compelling Jimmy trade though? thoughts?

I wouldn't want to touch a Phoenix trade for Jimmy, to me Bled/Knight and a #4 ain't cutting it. I'd entertain a Philly trade though

they were very careful when they spoke on Jimmy, they made it pretty clear they are open to moving him for the right deal

I was thinking more like Chriss/#4 or something along those lines

maybe Bender in the mix?

I havent put much thought into this

Chriss is an untouchable. We could probably get Bender but he hasn't shown them much, he has a high chance to bust, but I'll say that's a feasible package that could realistically be a possibility but we're probably losing that trade.

If GarPax was willing to pick up the phone and call them I'd imagine they'd hustle them into Knight/Bled and the #4 though.

Chriss is not an untouchable if Jimmy is in the discussion imo

I would not do Knight/Bledsoe & 4 for Jimmy, that isnt getting it done

Knight & Bledsoe are just whatverr

I'd rather have the #4 and Chriss over Jimmy, especially if Josh is on the board there.

Yeah plus I think if im the Suns im still rebuilding. Gutting my assets for Butler isn't gonna make me a contender

The Sixers on the other hand have so many assets that they wouldn't have to fit their team to get Butler

JJ is not "clearly" a top 3 talent in this draft. If the shooting or PnR playmaking does not translate then you have a horrific fit next to Simmons.

I mean if Monks shot doesn't translate or if Fox can't develop a shot or if Balls playmaking doesn't translate than they are bad picks also...

Jackson is arguably a top 2 talent... while he may not be the optimal fit he is still better than the rest and you when with players and 2 way players like him are high value.

Jackson is better than DSJ, Ball, Fox, Isaac, for sure? No.

An argument can be made that he is...That's why I said arguably....And he's certainly of higher value than DSJ, Fox, Isaac as he will be picked before them.

Dude has that dog in him he will produce in both sides of the court.

agree to disagree
Isaac has defensive anchor potential
Fox can run PnR with Simmons/Embiid at worst....same with DSJ except DSJ can shoot
Ball obviously is great at passing from a stand still, transition play and shooting all things that compliment Simmons even if the PnR play does not develop
Sure Jackson can work but I don't see anything that makes it a homerun.

Your talking about fit I'm talking about overall talent. I admit he isn't the optimal fit but unless they can trade down for additional assets or unless Foxs jumper improves during his workouts I don't see any reason not to pick Jackson...They will find time for him.

I'm talking fit and talent. Jackson didn't produce at a level distinguishing himself from any of the people I listed nor does his measurables separate him.
