I'd be so happy if Denver got OG and Cam Oliver. 2 perfect fits next to Jokic

This is my biggest fear (and very likely to happen) as a Mavs fan. But Mavs will reach for someone before they draft Monk. They'll most likely trade down. I hope Monk and/or Lauri or someone else jumps into the top 8

Why don't you like Monk on the Mavs?

I see Kennard mocked to Detroit a lot. They desperately need shooting and he may be best shooter in draft. Can he actually play or just he another slow footed white boy that will get abused on the defensive end?

All this drip on me
After further evaluation, I'm not as big of a fan of Malik Monk as I was earlier this year.

I initially thought he could develop into an Avery Bradley type plus defender due to similar size and athletic measurements but he lacks Bradley's on-ball physicality and willingness to defend.

So unless you think he can develop into a freakish Curry/Irving(who both measured out as the same size as him but play PG) type microwave iso scorer who has no offensive weakness at the NBA level (elite finishing, elite handle and elite shooter) I wouldn't draft him as high as he's currently projected.

On film his game appears to be more like an efficient Monta Ellis, Lou Williams, Nick Young and Eric Gordon combo type than a rare offensive gamechanger that can destroy a playoff team's halfcourt set defense by himself.

The fact that he projects to be an elite shooter, means he theoretically fits well with any team though. So like someone like Fultz he's an instant plug and play type.:ehh:
