You know what, after thinking about it what Gruden and the Raiders are doing is smart.
Now before you neg me and say I'm a dumb ass, dude has 0 pressure to win soon. Most coaches have to show something by year 3 or it's so they can't afford to make any drastic moves to get young cheap players but he's got a ten year deal he isn't getting the boot anytime soon. So he bout to free up cap and get young talent (even tho he sucks at drafting) and mold it into what he wants cause he has time to.

Being away for so long and having the ability to be on the outside looking in he might be able to draft & evaluate better
