It only felt underwhelming cause we overreacted when we missed out on Herman and Jimbo and hired O real quick to save face. He was always the fallback plan if nothing panned out. Honestly, he was the right move. Or at least the safe choice. We could have ended up with Fuentes or the row your boat dude or Willie Taggart. I was rooting for Coach O and was happy he got the job.

the one thing that made LSU a "title contender" for all these struggle years is that elite athletes and defense can keep you in every game, even with poor coaching

Why not? Y’all have a black one at FSU. If Frank Wilson was killing it at UTSA, he would have been a top candidate back then. Dave Aranda isn’t white and he’s our Associate head coach.

i'm assuming you mean if teams had to NOW look for a new HC, right?

FSU probably not firing Willie but if they did....I hate to say it, but damn near anything less than saaaay James Franklin, Mel Tucker, or even Josh Heupel would be disappointing. Don't think Tucker would leave CU so soon or that FSU would even be interested. They NEED somebody proven. They can't go the up and coming OC this time around

Yea but Aranda ain’t the dude meeting the press everyday either. It would be Charlie Strong-esque levels of mutiny among y’all fan base. Hell, I’m seeing it within mine so let’s not pretend as if everyone would be down with it. You got cac wanting him fired for on the field performance AND playing music at practice.

They got Stoops (not the good one) and James Coley (UGA OC) on the short list. They don’t care what the credentials are. As long as he is white and doesn’t play Soulsonic Force at practice

Right i heard Big Game talking about that on the cast following the Virginia game about Stoops and Coley. Either one would be a disaster of a hire.
