Reading more into Steele, it looks like the family wants him back closer to home.
Since Chip lost nearly half of Mora’s players, we have plenty of scholarships where Oregon / USC are at the limit.
Rumor is our staff is trying to get him on campus for a visit this weekend. The way this staff has recruited, I’m still not confident he will end up in Westwood. Never know, he was originally a Mora commit before his profile blew up, so maybe he comes around again.

It's your assistant director of player personnel catching a stalking case, your QB recruit allegedly raping TWO women and transferring, another player arrested for choking his girl, your crown jewel of your 2019 class bouncing 15 practices into his career, your crown jewel of your 2021 class bouncing (expect his homeboy Trevonte Rucker to follow suit), this new de-commit that announced today, and more bad news on the way pertaining to Zipperer and Diwun Black maybe going the JUCO route cause of grades.......and that's literally just in the last 14 days.

yea Langston did yesterday and tbh, i think his teammate, the nation's #1 (i believe) WR Trevonte Rucker will soon decommit too. Basically the 2021 board about to be zero in a few weeks i predict. Only have 1 player committed, well two but I expect Rucker to leave too.
Zipperer was going to redshirt this year anyways. He is behind Pitts, Krull, Lang, and Gamble on the depth chart. Even if Zipperer never makes it to UF, we're bringing in Jeremiah Johnson and Jonathan Odom next year and Gage Wilcox in 2021 (well we're expecting to get Gage but we'll see). Zipperer said he's coming to UF though so Idk if he knows something we don't know but time will tell....
Black is legit but he was going to behin the 8-ball as well. LB/Buck depth (the position Black will play) is stacked with talent. Now, you're right, the optics of the last few weeks for us has been TERRIBLE, no way to spin it and I know you know i'm not trying to do that. Dan better get the off the field stuff together in a HURRY cause it's not like he has merit and championships to fall back on.

I see your point but all this is irrelevant if we could just stack some wins and beat the shyt out of Miami . Kids want to be on the winning team so Mullen just needs to learn from this Steele debacle and handle business.
There's on field ramifications of this stuff too. I know those guys may have redshirted or may have been down the depth chart, but that's exactly what wins nowadays.....competitive depth. Can't have UGA recruiting the way they are and Mullen essentially, counting who will actually suit up for UF this fall, has two straight classes ranking in the mid to high teens. They've already had four decommits from 2021. I know it seems far away, but these are the classes that you need to be building relationships with at this time. Now the staff gonna have to spend unnecessary time and resources trying to salvage a 2020 class (like FSU had to scramble and do after the December signing day because of a bad season) instead of looking towards the future. If UF goes into the summer with no momentum AND still hemorrhaging from this terrible offseason, Mullen is in trouble.
