Having a traditional OC guarantees nothing. If you've built your career on your offensive playcalling abilities, then play to your strengths. And only Jimbo has a chip. If you don't have a powerful defense and a top notch QB than no chips.
No the problem with Jimbo is his play calling. It's very predictable. If he had an OC to focus on solely offense he wouldn't have this problem. When he had that monster D they were able to keep them in the game. Jimbo had alot of three and outs.
Not one of the guys I mentioned would perform at a higher level handing over the offense to someone else.

Your quoted source, couldn’t tell you his ass from his nose let alone a good coach, look no one is saying he’s all world, but in the same year a tua miracle got you all the chip, he dropped 48 points on a Georgia team with a damn good defense, he doesn’t coach defense, so he can’t help it if his team can’t stop Uga but he kept scoring forcing uga to match score for score in 18 he put up 34 against a good bama d so who’s shutting him out when he “plays a team with a pulse” ??? So what are you saying you want him to play/coach defense?? Lack of defensive stops doesn’t negate his offensive prowess, i guess them points he scored in them games was because he out athleted uga and bama
