Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Childish Gambino reportedly turned down the Grammys - CNN

"The fact of the matter is, we continue to have a problem in the hip-hop world," Ehrlich told the paper. "When they don't take home the big prize, the regard of the academy, and what the Grammys represent, continues to be less meaningful to the hip-hop community, which is sad."

Long story short, they don't fukk with the Academy and how it's set up. I'm quite surprised Drake showed up.

The article i read made it seem like it was a boycott because of how Hip Hop gets shafted at the grammys but i think Gambino is overseas preparing the international leg of his tour. Kendrick may have said “fukk it” after losing AOTY three times. And Aubrey been criticizing them for years too

A rap album will win album of the year. I don't care how many conciliation Grammys it seems like they've given out already. They're going to make amends this year. Or at least try.

to Drake on the win. Gods Son was one of the better rap singles of the year and the best Drake single since Headlines. He was right artist like Royce, Nas, mood deep, MURS, little brother, Lupe, Wale, etc don’t need a Grammy to feel accomplished or appreciated.
