Watching the replay of the Santana no hitter. I forgot how bad some of those Mets were. Gary mentioned Murphy had only 1 Homer coming into hunt. Who knew 3 years later he would win us a pennant and then lose a world series. Santana even would a bum arm was still the man. At 2:30 est they will replay Game 5 of the 1986 NLCS - Mets/Astros (Doc Gooden vs Nolan Ryan/Gary Carter walk off RBI single) and at 8 est, Game 6 - which is one of the greatest postseason games of all time.

Doc pitched out of trouble almost every inning and ends up going 10 IP, 9 hits but just the 1 run

What a battle...both pitchers going 9 in a pivotal game 5
