Couture has since deleted the original tweet, but he stated he was out in Toronto on Tuesday night and was sucker punched for talking "about voting for the Republican party and mentioning Donald Trump by name."
Couture was highly criticized for the tweet, adding he didn't explicitly say he'd vote for Trump but would vote Republican if he was an American citizen.

Mad NHLers are conservatives so I'm not surprised.
No problem with the NBA postponing games, but let's see if two of you in here are going to keep that same energy if there are games tonight and when the NBA resumes play. If they resume play, all they did was delay the games by a day or a few days.

Well, that was quick. Playoffs are back.
No issues with the players postponing play or wanting to play. However, it was obvious they would resume play. They sat out for 24 hours, and then are going to resume play......
They really didn't do anything different than the NHL. The end result is the same.....they are going to be playing their games.
Yet, all of these leagues will be playing in a matter of days.

If you're not going to play, then don't play. This entire "postponing" games for a few days isn't going to so anything. Sure, this will be talked about for a few days, but then it will be back to just playing. I support the players decision either way, but this postponing games part makes little sense..
