He got burned out trying to live up to the hype... transfer portal would have been his friend in this era.. when Royce Freeman got there it was a wrap. Tyner honestly was only the 3rd best RB on that squad and that was slightly over Benoit who was the 4th RB

I think that’s the best Synopsis, he might have been a better fit at Oregon st from day one or hell even Portland state, that way he just did his thing got his degree and moved on with life. That pressure pot of trying to fit in with all them studs was too much

Some interesting takeaways….Nebraska fans loyal af, been ass for 15+ years and still highly viewed, more than USC & UCLA combined. USC fans fickle as hell, below Illinois in viewership….Illinois has had 1 decent season in about 30 years, usc was in the rose bowl within the last 4 seasons

ND lower than expected but that’s bc they’re playing that trash ass ACC schedule with no big match ups

3 Big Ten East teams in the top 4, and 4 in the top 8…

An incredibly average, 8 win PSU season outdraws UGA’s title winning, best season in 40+ years…

We fired Helton bum ass in Game 2 when it should have been done years ago. The entire fanbase literally checked out after the Oregon State game seeing that the Interim wasn't doing shyt this time and it was a dud year until we found our new coach

Clay Helton would've been an upgrade over those clowns.

We been here through the ups and downs the past decade or so from the highs of 2011 finishing #3 but being on probation, To going 6-7 the next season then firing Kiffin bum ass and passing over the guy EVERYONE but one wanted in Coach O after that legendary Stanford upset , To the drunken sark years , To jumping the gun on hiring Clay's bum ass to "make up" for passing on Coach O, To the legendary run of Sam GOATnold leading us to a Pac 12, Big Ten, and Rose Bowl title @smitty22 , To the years that followed

As with anything in LA, the majority of fans don't leave they just lose enthusiasm. Nobody started repping Bams or OSU or some shyt. But Yung Lincoln bout to have folks dusting off them #5 jerseys in the back of the closet

I get it breh, I know SC can be a #1 program.

…still you know it’s a cultural thing too, Illinois is lousy program and is still viewed. USC draws much more casuals that come and go as the team has success.
