'The Season' is a weekly 22-minute ole miss football series that highlights their program from the perspectives of their players and coaches -- they been running that show on their youtube channel's playlist since 2012, a year before Hugh Freeze got there. That program has been under sanctions for various reasons for years but you couldn't help but root for the individual players when the film and production crew allow for the players themselves to tell a compelling story to evoke some type of familiarity in human empathy and emotion. It's always some random dark cloud or some racial stigma when generally talking about states in the deep south when recruiting talent that ole miss had to produce their own propaganda videos saying that their college town is more progressive and that their football program is somehow exempt.
I wish that other programs also did these type of shows to highlight overlooked storylines that mainstream (Disneyfied) ESPN rejects. Watching these episodes is like having a virtual campus visit to the program as fans and the random unscripted day-in-the-life segments of the show are hilarious...imagine having the privilege to watch your team from this perspective, not sure which other football programs does this...the level of production is almost like watching 'last chance u' but for a major program, tbh...i think clemson runs one of these vlogs on their football youtube channel but they make theirs corny AF looking like a self-censoring wholesome christian summer camp rather than bringing you realistic expectations for their football program
