A lot of people including my self have been rooting For one of those three teams since our childhood ND was on NBC,scUM and Ohio state was on ABC every week What’s crazy is a lot of people are Illinois basketball fans and ND football fans Im a DePaul basketball fan but DePaul doesn’t have a football team

Chicago is a pro sports town so unless you went to UICU you’re not reppin Illini…and Northwestern has a solid support but they’re not a big athletic dept type of school, I bet almost 50% of their student body is out of State/or int’l. My lil sis has her masters from NU and I doubt she can name any player that’s ever played any sport there

Because they suck, and they don’t recruit the city, u of ILL used to recruit the city basketball wise but not like they used to, i have some friends who graduated form uill that moved back to the city, and they rep a lil bit, but it’s one of those hey this is a good degree thing not a good sports thing (nu/uill)
