The SEC has dealt with his defense before with top 5 recruiting classes. Stoops at least has a history as a head coach which is why he was offered first. Elko did a decent job at Duke but a lot of that was predicted on the QB so as the head guy the jury is still out. It will be interesting to see what kind of offensive system he wants to run and what kind of talent he is left with.

We don’t expect To just compete for the conference. We need to get bowl eligible and then work up to 8-9 wins before. Any MSU Twitter idiot hyping the hire to that degree is just being a homer.

I'd be happy with bowl eligibility next year, if anything extra comes that's icing on the cake in year 1
