It's too much Caleb Williams and poor Oline and defensive coaching.

Probably everybody trying to run a spread offense, so once a crazy d-line is out there, they get manhandled and shyt. There's no balance with how a lot of teams call their offenses anymore.

Not too many really dominant secondaries this year either. I mean, maybe Michigan or like PSU has one, but we haven’t seen them play anyone. I feel like all the good defenses have at least one weak link in the back end

ND is top 3 in passing YPG allowed, has only given up 5 passing TDs, and is top 7 in YPA while playing the dudes they’ve played. People can say they want about situational ball with Freeman but those dudes have been incredible on that side of the ball

Offensive guru type coaches dont allocate their recruiting and scholarship and development resources to defense. Theres a reason the entire mike leach coaching tree loses games 48-42 and shyt, all the time. They just dont value defense.
