That game temporarily put Alabama back on the map but Shula leaving Prothro out there in a blowout which led to him breaking his leg changed everything.

While we did go on to win 4 in a row, the offense was severely handicapped without him and it ended up costing us against LSU and Auburn.

We could’ve honestly went undefeated that year but we wouldn’t have jumped Texas or USC though.

All that to say, if Tyrone Prothro doesn’t break his leg, Saban may have never came to Bama. It’s a fukked up butterfly effect but it’s true.
