My dodgers and padres played 2 regular season games. But we still in spring training with a 3 game set vs the angels

MLB loves playing overseas in Asia.
Yet most of their best international players are Latino and they're not investing or promoting games like that in DR or Mexico. They can't do Venezuela for obvious reasons. But hell, Puerto Rico is US territory. No excuse to not have annual games there.

DR is 100% on DR not having the kind of stadium that allows it to happen every year. Otherwise they'd do to the Rays what they used to do with the Expos and play their games in PR

it's done because jet lag coming from there is a motherfukker. At least in ST, you can knock out those cobwebs without it impacting your results.
All the more reason to invest in baseball infrastructure in the DR.

But there is something to be gained from Asian expansion. More money, more players. Why invest in DR when you're already getting fan support(money) and talent for "free"?
