I remember when Bud Black was viewed as this great pitching guru when he was on the LA Angels staff in the early 2000s.

I'm not sure that's been reflected well on the teams he's managed: San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies.

Nobody in the lineup has a track record to believe they will heat up. They were a bottom five offense last year and the year before and the year before and....

FOH. This has nothing to do with the pitch clock. These guys are pushing their bodies over the limit.

MLBPA needs to step in and address this because pitchers, particularly starters, are completely disposable to these teams now and being treated as such.

It's too early to attribute it to the pitch clock but throwing max effort and also having a pitch clock doesn't sound like a good combo.
