Regarding Illinois, it just doesn't sit right with me that a major university goes way over to Europe to get more than half their players when there are more than enough players here that are good enough.

It's no coincidence that the Wisconsin backcourt damn near put up 70 pts on a team where damn near every player has euro blood flowing through their veins:pachaha:

I hope they wind up meeting Kansas in the tourney, Peterson scores 35 and Bidunga catches lob after lob on em:mjlol:

Sucks that he has plantar fasciitis, I wouldn't blame them if they sat him for the rest of the conf tourney since they should be safely in the field as an at large
damn didnt even know..been wanting him to show out in March since his freshman szn at Indiana State

Holloway going 0-7 vs the top 3 teams in the conference is why they're on the outside looking in, and now he's gonna have to put together damn near a whole new roster yet again. He's probably gonna get tired of this shyt soon.

Illinois is soft af, there's a reason they keep losing these close games. Underwood has a good eye for talent, but I'm not convinced he's anything more than an above-average coach.

Man, their actual best coach the past 25 yrs was Bruce Weber(Weber's motion offense was perfect for that 04-05 squad. Self would've been running that high low offense with Augustine and Ingram). Weber just wasn't a great recruiter. Underwood is an average in game coach at best. Good eye for talent, though

Tbf Weber's best years were all with Self recruited players. But he was a good coach...just underwhelming recruiter, and there was a shyt ton of talent coming out of the state and Chicago at that time, but during this era, any 5* from Chicago (actual city) went to KU, Calipari, or Duke exclusively.
