I'd be stunned if Detroit signs anybody notable. Have you seen something linking Bichette to them?

Edward Cabrera was good last season, but that injury history is disgusting.
There are still 3 years of team control on Cabrera before he becomes a free agent in 2029, so the Marlins will want a lot in return.

But if you're going to deplete your farm system, you ought to do it for a more proven guy than Edward Cabrera.

Brian Cashman is still a dumb ass who is trying to Billy Beane his way into a title.
If Billy Beane had Yankees money, he would have won 3-4 championships.

I’ve seen rumors but Just a gut feeling sorry :hubie: if bregman stays in Boston & tucker goes to Toronto I think it could happen

I don’t think the cubs are a realistic option

You're legitimately delusional about Jasson Dominguez.

He's not good.
I'm not delusional about him.

But if they can't figure out what to do with his talent and he has more talent than anyone else in that system, then there's no future to look forward to, and since they've told us in so many ways that they're not gonna spend to cover up that problem AND the lockout could possibly force teams like the Yankees to lean more into their system, the bottom could fall out big time for this organization.

The Yankees are about to enter a season where assuming they overpay to keep Cody, are seemingly ok keeping two of their better young players in the minors or in a very limited role (Jones being 25). If they wanna keep them, play them. If they wanna trade them, do so, but have some fukking conviction. Instead they wanna hedge their bets with two guys they don't really believe in.

That's the reality though.
The Yankees have nothing.

Jasson Dominguez looks like shyt. Even Roman Anthony in Boston has flashed a higher ceiling and he's played like half a season.
If Spencer Jones couldn't even get a September call up by now, how good is he, really??

The truth is these Yankees aren't gonna do shyt until Cashman is gone. And whoever the new GM is will have to convince Hal to give him as much latitude as it takes to sign the best players in free agency because it might take years before NYY develops any viable position players.

And that means you're likely gonna have to watch Aaron Judge finish his career without ever winning a championship.
Even if George Lombard Jr becomes an all-star, what other home grown Yankees will you have next to him? Almost all of the franchise's Top Prospects are already like 22 years old and projected to be 2-3 years away.

This is not a serious organization.

I made peace with that a while ago and I also feel like he's complicit in that. Therefore, I don't feel this tremendous urgency to win one for him. He wants to be comfortable around his boys. That's what he prioritizes, which is what the organization prioritizes, so it makes sense that he's so dialed in with the front office.
