Wherever one would be putting in their 2-weeks, is it a given that they would be more than likely poaching key pieces of your organization's staff/roster leaving you barren come next year? If so....why would I keep you around long enough to convince mfs to follow you? Lol

LSU if fine with it because he will be recruiting for them and they get 4 hours of advertising a game about him being the HC in 2026.

The only potential benefit Ole Miss gets winning the CFP. Otherwise you don’t have a coach and uncertainty with recruits and Lane there potentially poaching your players for the portal. It sounds easy as a fan to say let him coach but there is a whole building of people there that would be expected to work the biggest games of their lives with a level of uncertainty and added drama. A P5 AD can’t allow it.
