This is what i actually get mad at shyt like this, i don’t care that kids follow a coach, i don’t care that kids use leverage to get more bread, i don’t care that a kid transfers a 100 times( his life). But when schools get to clipping kids just because, or it’s a new coach, now people are silent, now no one’s saying the sports broken

re: the portal, You have the bag chasers and you have the kids that only were to help fill out a roster on a team and probably didnt see much action. People got cut in HS. I dont see the problem. The boosters got these coaches stressed. They dont like the coach, they say hey, get rid of him or Im not paying. They taking the development out of these teams and coaches hands. Its causing rapid turnover.

Im glad Phil Knight doesnt operate like these other boosters. We havent lost a starter or a crucial backup since NIL started. We lose mostly 3rd or 4th stringers when we do and thats only because we have to keep recruiting every year and its not enough scholarships. So somebody has to make room for the new recruits. Notice we dont even recruit many guys anymore. Our roster retention is high and thats where our booster money goes.
