This might be one way to bring the cost of these high school kids down a bit. Especially considering they can play the 'free agent' game after every single season. What do y'all think of this?
Its a bit deceptive because Cignetti imported a whole team. Most teams trying this would strike out at key positions because the portal does not always have good options at certain positions. I do think teams will skew older but not go as extreme as Indiana.

How do you guys feel about alum status after players transfer?
For example, you on the team 4 years at X-school, then you hit the portal to go elsewhere. It could even be a rival school they go to.
Will that player be invited bsck to the orig. when they have camps or to attend games on the sideline?

Our second and third string QBs hit the portal.. what they supposed to do since Dante holding them hostage..Wait wait wait?! Who was the Breh who spazzed when I pointed out UO was getting transfer QBs and he was on some oh that was different BS?!

Like I said at the time and was giving UO props, they were early to the portal QB game when it was sweet and relatively cheap.. Now everybody on it and that price is serious..
Dante should come back but that 50 mil guaranteed is hard to turn down.. Tough position to be in..

I mentioned it before, alot of these people when they leave these schools they dont realize they will have no alumni base/support.. Its really tough but it depends on the school. And if you only on campus for a year its hard to create ties, especially if you only taking online classes and in the football building majority of time like the older guys like to do.. Its essentially just going in job market straight out of high school.
Very tough position to be in but most dont care at moment and they not really getting good guidance.. It wil probably trickle down in few years but I know dudes who tell players stay in school, you make more money in cfb now than being a late 2nd or 3rd round pick and players still jumping so

I didn't even think about the online classes. Dang, yeah some of these dudes literally have no ties to the SCHOOL itself. Don't go on campus or nothing.
I mean, good for you making money, but youre missing out on a great collegiate experience at some places. Especially at the schools where the athletic facilities are not directly in the heart of campus

Yea to have the alumni support you really need to make a HUGE difference if you're a one year guy. Greatly improve the team's record, win a title, win awards, 1st team AA, etc. Otherwise you're just a guy.
Say UM went 8-4 with beck this year...dude would never have a school that would welcome him
