Beyond that he tried to have graduate students arrested after just getting the job because they were on strike and protesting for higher wages due to Michigan’s higher COL. The prosecutors refused to prosecute and he ended up giving in to 97 percent of their demands anyway. But the way he handled Trump and DEI put him in a bad spot with students and the academics at U of M. Florida will be more palatable to his bootlicking. Michigan is literally the “public ivy” of the Midwest and a bastion of liberalism - watching us bow down on DEI while Harvard fought pissed everyone off.
