If not for conference realignment then I might be more down for a 12-16 team playoff even though I thought 4 was perfect. Looking back at a season like 2008:

11-1 USC
12-1 Alabama
12-1 Florida
11-1 Texas
12-1 Oklahoma
11-1 Penn State
11-1 Texas Tech
10-2 Ohio State
12-0 Boise State
12-0 Utah

Yeah I would've been all in like a MF for this playoff :ohlawd:

Perception is a funny thing..

What if I told you one of these QBs is getting love as a potential No. 1 draft pick for 2026 and the other is coming off a "down year"?

QB A: 82.3 QBR, 28 TD passes, 12 INTs, 64.7% completions, 7.78 yards per attempt
QB B: 79.1 QBR, 29 TD passes, 12 INTs, 64.2% completions, 7.72 yards per attempt

So, who's the hot shot and who's spiraling downward? QB B is LSU's Nussmeier, who's a favorite in the way-too-early mock drafts. QB A is Miami's Beck, who was supposed to be a possible No. 1 pick until his 2024 performance drew heavy criticism.

Carson beck was in his 2nd year starting and was expected to take a leap, this was Garrett’s 1st year as a starter.

Just off film Garrett makes better throws as well, his accuracy and anticipation is some of the best I’ve ever seen
