I wonder how much of Penn State's struggles are because of James Franklin, or if the fact that their team realizes that Drew Allar is TERRIBLE. Getting outplayed by the Northwestern QB? Pack him all the way up, put the backup in.

It's Franklin. I'm not gonna be an Allar apologist. But no QB could thrive under Franklin cuz he has no identity as an HC. He's just a great recruiter.

Allard is not even being put in a position to maximize his strengths. Franklin been there 10 years maybe. His offense and QBs all look struggle bus outside of the Saquan Barkley year

I don't know breh, Allar has NEVER been accurate and has lacked touch on his passes. You've got to try SOMETHING if you're the coach -- losing to Oregon is one thing, losing to UCLA and Northwestern is another issue entirely.
