Was wondering why my guy was so desperate to get back to coaching :francis:

Ed Orgeron's LSU buyout was approximately $17 million and was paid to him after his termination in 2021. A significant portion of this money went to his ex-wife, Kelly Orgeron, after the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled she was entitled to half of the buyout in a divorce dispute.

    • Initial buyout:
LSU fired Orgeron and paid him the full buyout amount of approximately $17 million, which was part of a 2020 contract extension.
    • Divorce settlement:
Orgeron's ex-wife, Kelly Orgeron, was entitled to half of the buyout due to their ongoing divorce proceedings at the time the contract extension was signed, a decision later upheld by the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Cheaper to keep her :francis:

:mjlol: Winning the War > Winning the Battle :sas1:
Winning the war? Yall are retreating from the war. No matter. We won that too. We won the all time series and Jeweled shillelagh is staying where it belongs.
