Not mad at miami, it was a joke breh.. Just found it ironic how UO have benefited from 3 portal QBs and asking do we recruit them when you see the benefit of portal QBs up close..

Also I am the last to ask that as I tell everyone PORTAL QB me for life.. Its way easier to evaluate, money better spent then waiting to develop on bench then growing pains and even if they hit you get one year anyway, MAYBE two.. We can go thru list of top 5 high school QBs and then check any measure of success for portal QBs and they win hands down. I would never waste my time with a high school kid as coach who look at the PSU guy, developed some qb goes to orange bowl, almost gets to championship game, loses to portal QB comes back and #2 in nation, 2 weeks later fired, lol.. Im not banking my career on that..

Oline/Dline you recruit and keep inhouse, not many in portal.. Most every other position I am down to develop from high school recruiting actually and just fill holes that come up naturally.. But QB? Portal has been my position for awhile, especially they dont have to sit out a year anymore..

Let me clear this up for you cuz you clearly don't know us..

Lanning hired.. we had no QB. Sorry ass Anthony Brown leaves, Tyler Shough off the team to Texas Tech. Lanning grabs Bo. We recruited Dante and he committed. Bo decides to come back so Dante rolls especially because Dillingham leaves, so then we have to get Gabriel. Dante would have e started after Bo, but didn't wanna sit..we back to square 1 and have to get Dillon. Dante comes back and decides to now sit after the fact. No we aren't looking for portal qbs just to be doing it. We had to until we got some depth there. Fuhk is you talmbout..

Causation ≠ Correlation

Franklin was more than likely losing, transfer portal QB or not, lol. There's a lot of be said about who's developing these QBs whether it's grassroots or portal ones. And then there's just downright God-given talent they already have and if they can be pushed to maximize it.

I've seen both sides obviously, and we've been in the mix with it since Fields, but I've also seen the ones we bought in show out to....but maybe the defense let em down, maybe coaching let em down, or maybe the gameplan that day let em down. It's a lot of turning wheels that goes into the shyt fr.

But I get whatchu saying tho.

For example, Carson Beck could play for 5 more seasons and the program(s) of his choice and he'd still be ass...

Or someone like Bryce Underwood could eventually look really good after transferring and developing at Oregon

Oh when I mentioned Franklin it was more along the lines that he was running a successful program and in two weeks went from #2 in nation to fired.. In this new era coaches cant wait to develop something that MIGHT hit and then end result is a mid QB.. OSU gets to pick multiple cream of crop, its a lil different compared to others situation with a known offensive guy and system.

I just rather evaluate qbs in real college games, with college film and production. You have better idea. Like I have seen our high school QB commit in person, at state game last year. On high light tape, his arm talent is unreal. He goes on 7 on 7 circuit and tears it up. But in full game he was tuck n run if first read wasnt there, Malachi Toney was playing QB because Dia Bell (5 star texas commit) was hurt and if I didnt know better I woulda thought Toney was QB phenom I was coming to see (I think he was 16 for 16 with multiple TDs).. Thats type of stuff you wont see on Highlight tape. Portal QB meeeee lol

If OU, Bama, UGA & A&M win out, who plays A&M in the SECCG
shyt gets INSANE if Texas beats A&M :patrice:

7-1 Bama
7-1 UGA
7-1 Ole Miss
7-1 A&M

Being 7-1 and not playing for a conference title is insanity in itself.

Dumb ass conferences way too fukking big.

South Side Chicago to Nola
You notice how the tides turned when it was LEGAL to compensate players? :sas1:

The sun :unimpressed:

It’s almost like he came, and went. Just like that.

80 million came and went too :mjlol:
PSU has the easier path to the playoffs, especially with no OSU on the schedule until 2028.

Florida has a higher propensity to actually win titles....but SEC heads tell us how stacked the conference is, and how weak the B1G is, so why would the UF job be more desirable?

If Cignetti wins a title at IU, the entire sport going to get turned upside down...bc as it stands now, Clemson is the only non-blue blue/non-blue blood adjacent (UGA, LSU, UF etc.) to win a title since Ga Tech/Colorado in 1990.

Iu can get one if shyt bounce right and that’s literally what we wanted parity

Idk if Florida has a higher propensity, it took two Hof level Coaches to get them other than that droughts, they psu minus the urban years, Florida being good doesnt mean it’s an auto qualifier they win chips
