I’m moving non playoff bowls to the beginning of the season during week 0 and rivalry week is now week 1 or 2. The new format has made both irrelevant. Depending on how auto bids are divided up, make the 3rd and 4th place teams play for the last auto bid during what would be conference title week.

Bowls need to be gone altogether... pointless now. But I see where you going. 6 wins to play in a bowl is absurd.

So this is what the playoffs look like at this point

Teams in (7): Ohio St, Indiana, Georgia, Texas Tech, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M
Should be in, unless something crazy happens (2): Oklahoma, Notre Dame
Teams still with a chance to get in (): Alabama (as SEC champ), BYU (as Big 12 champ), Virginia (as ACC champ), Tulane/North Texas (as best G5 champ), James Madison (as 5th best conf champ if Duke wins ACC)
Teams holding out hope, but slim chances: Texas, Miami

Questions:
If BYU wins Big12, Alabama wins SEC, Duke wins ACC- which of the Top 9 will be kicked out: Notre Dame or Oklahoma
If Alabama loses: do they get in with 3 losses over Oklahoma and/or Notre Dame (they lost to Oklahoma)

As for the bracket:

-Ohio State and Indiana will have 2 of the 4 byes, win or lose (Oregon will be #5, and they wont move either below them)
-Georgia and Texas Tech will get the other 2 byes if they win their CCGs
-Texas A&M, Oregon, and Ole Miss will have 3 of the 4 home games
-If Alabama beats Georgia- Alabama, and Georgia will have home games, Oregon will be in Top 4
-BYU should move into Top 8 and a home game if they win the Big 12
