Fans are going to have to be patient. That transfer portal changed the game to the point where you have schools like Indiana and Vanderbilt that now can be competitive.
Those young men aren’t sitting on the bench 2-3 years anymore, they go to one of those middle of road P5 teams and start now.
I predict a 9-3 type year for Lane his first year, maybe I’ll be wrong and we’ll be 11-1 or some shyt but I don’t see it right now.
He’s going to really have to go to work in that transfer portal and also lock up our top in state athletes.
I remember a time LSU got 80 percent of these standout athletes around Louisiana. They still probably get about 60 percent but it’s not as high a percentage as it was during the Saban and Les Miles years. If you saw a Louisiana kid nationally ranked on rivals there was time that you could almost bet your bottom dollar he’d be wearing purple and gold and playing in Tiger Stadium. As I said that’s changed a little in recent years.
