Im probably in the minority, but they should get rid of Ooc games completely, or maybe do 1 and thats it. One nonconference rivalry game. Anything beyond that is unnecessary. Squash matches against G5/fcs teams have become outdated imo.

It made sense back in the day when conferences were smaller, but nowadays with damn near 20 teams in a conference, there’s no need for multiple none conference games. There’s plenty of interesting games to make in your own conference.
I’ll agree with that. Covid proved that it could work also.

But it would kill off a lot of the smallers schools who make their budgets off those type of games.

Naw... OOC games should stay.

I would be more in favor of not ranking teams until week 5. People get too caught up in the number next to the school before we actually know who is good. Look at Clemson and LSU first week. Game meaningless. So was their pre-season ranking. Fla st beat Alabama.. it hurt, but they went on to make their conference championship game. That simple

Damn, I haven’t even really been thinking about the Miami/ND shyt.

Not only is Texas penalized for losing to OSU.

Miami isn’t incentivized for beating Notre Dame.

They are.. If they didn't beat ND they wouldn't be in the conversation with 2 losses to 8-4 teams. They would be down around 15. Behind Vandy or some shyt.

Orrrrrr….we can go back to 10 team, regionally based conferences. What’s the point of mega conferences when 6-8 of these teams won’t play each other for a couple of yrs waiting on a rotation? It’s stupid. And with costs ballooning (see the above link I just posted), makes zero sense to be in a conference where you have to cross multiple time zones just to play. This will also make it a true tournament of champs. You not good enough to win your conference, you don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. One opportunity. No round twos
