Teams opting out of bowls makes no sense. It’s a chance to end season on a high note and put play on film

A middle finger to the fans who aren’t gonna blow thousands to travel to El Paso to watch you play the 8th place finisher in the ACC in the Sun Bowl? You nikkas aren’t consistent because when players were opting out, there was none of this “you’re doing a disservice to your fans” shyt.

The only benefit is the extra practices. Otherwise, it’s a loss across the board. Mandatory you bring your band but you have to pay for travel AND their tickets to sit in the stadium. Risk unnecessary injury to guys who are returning. Requires you to sell your allotment and if you don’t, school still has to eat the cost. And that bowl payout gets split amongst the conference. It’s why the B12 is fining that farm school called KState and ISU. They don’t care about the fans. They want their cut.
