Aside from the terrible BET awards? Yeah you're right but that requires organization and it seems like that only happens with the BET awards, or soul train awards or NAACP awards (which are great) but it's about politics just like government breh. And it's about a voting body that wants to vote for you. When a voting body admits to not even seeing the films nominated for best picture, that's a problem

My reaction to who won Best Actor and Actress.
Well maybe but two members admitted that they didn't feel it was that great of a film
Keaton got robbed horribly. Redmayne's performance wasn't even in the same league with Oyelewo or Carell, let alone Keaton. Keaton was definitely robbed.

Lol the source awards was only dope in the 90s when the music was dope to go along with it. We destroyed that ourselves when we started making trash
