I'm old enough to have been SCARED TO DEATH by it as a child. I'll never forget the bomb scenes with the people getting vaporized or skeletonized. After "The Day After" came out, every thunderstorm seemed like it was the end of the world. At the time, we didn't think of it like a Sci Fi movie. We thought it was going to happen eventually.

90's kids have no idea what it's like to believe that the entire world could end at any minute without warning.

I thought I was old. I can't even imagine what it would have been like. Back in the day the media played such a big role in the current events that was going on. A movie like that would have had me so shook of the world coming to an end.

I recognize so may locations from Queens an Long Island on this show. I'm used to seeing shows set in NY that look nothing like NY. It's weird seeing scenes set in Berlin in 1983 looking like Forest Hills Queens in 2015.
