This is quite something, early fan reviews/reaction was overly positive and a few days later critics are saying it stunk up the place.

Been waiting on this team up since the 90's, WB you had one job... Man one job...
Goyer needs to go with Zack watching that interview with him is embarrassingly difficult. Given a billion dollar project to this guy. Good job DC.
Hire the guys who did Justice League.

Oh and Marvel movies outside of Winter Soldier are hot garbage. I doubt this can be any worse.

I won't say they're hot garbage but I do think they're overrated

(Before anyone says anything I like and enjoy Marvel movies)

Captain America and Black Panther are the best characters of Marvel, and they have DC like qualities of them. Outside of them, DC has a lot more substance as characters and even their villains have motivations. Marvel caters to the lowest common denominator: lots of flash, super simple stories, great art, and ton of anti heroes without much of a code giving in to their most selfish desires (outside of Capt and Panther). That's why you can never see a Crisis of Infinite Earths or a Killing Joke or All Star Superman or a Judas Contract in Marvel. Maybe DC is a reminder that maybe the industry doesn't deserve them and that the average person is cool being average, who doesn't strive to be better.

That might lowkey be the best Comic Book movie of the year. I had high hopes for BVS, but all that shyt is gone now and I haven't even seen the movie yet, will see it tomorrow matinee. Suicide Squad might be a great movie but I fear it will suffer from BVS backlash, and I have a feeling a lot of BVS bad reviews came from M.O.S backlash even though I liked M.O.S. Civil War will be fine bc I trust the Russos bros after the piff they gave us in Winter Soldier, and I feel so so about X-Men Apoc even though the trailers look good so far.

So the plot didn't worry you. Russell Crowe sent the registry of citizens and the codex to earth. Zod thought his intentions was to create a new Krypton.

Superman's mom knew humans would hate him, but Crowe was like "he'll be a god tough". I don't think Crowe or Kryptonians thought highly of earth. They sent superman there because he would have powers to crush them. Zod came to finish the ultimate plan. Then Crowe's ghost was shoehorned in it. Superman had no logical reason to save the planet and his relationship with Louis Lane was forced.

And then there's superman himself. No fukking personality whatsoever. The movie was dry as fukk. His character was so boring that he went from baby to adult with a few flashbacks thrown in. They should've just done a fukking origins movie. People would've still watched it and its not like they've even done a bunch or superman origins movies. Superman the movie is the ONLY one. Superman Returns wasn't an origins movie. They should've just started over.

They sent Clark to earth because they thought it would be a suitable world with intelligent life and because Krypton was about to blow up. He put the codex in Clark to ensure that kryptonians can still exist somehow or someway


Zod went to earth because Clark triggered a Krypton ship that sent out a distress beacon.

Then the rest of the movie was basically Dragonball Z
